will apple replace water damaged 7 plus

i have had this refurbished iphone 7 plus for about 2 months, after apple replaced my first one for dying on me.

today i took a short 20 second video clip in a stream about 3 inches underwater, phone recorded fine and when i pulled it out, i stopped it with the volume button, the screen then turned black, and i heard a sizzling noise come from the camera area, since then it hasnt turned on at all.

am i at fault, my previous iphone 7 plus i used underwater a lot and was under the impression it was fine to do this, if i take it to an apple store will they tell me to just go away?

thanks....

You put a device that is not waterproof under water. The warranty for the phone clearly states it is void if the device is submerged.

The iPhone 7, 8 and X are all water resistant. Meaning, you can splash some water on it, or talk on the phone for a short while in a light rain. But none of them can be submerged for any reason.
