Apple TV 4K Issue - Grainy HDR Effect?

experiencing the grainy effect during pausing/scrubbing HDR content? It only occurs over top of the bottom black bar, or if 16:9 HDR content, if there are dark areas where the shadow effect is overlaid.

Trying to determine if my ATV or Samsung TV are faulty, or if it’s just a glitch on the ATV software

Apple TV flickers on dark scenes. I have an ATV4k 1st gen that flickers on dark scenes. Sometimes it's only on HD content, sometimes it's on HD and HDR (HDR10, DV) content. Depends on the OS. Updates to the OS fix or break the flickering on HDR content. The last update added flickering to DV. Everything is connected properly. TV is set up correctly. I've tried every single variation on the settings and nothing seems to work. PLEASE help.

Apple TV 4K flickering in dark areas Hi. So me and alot of other users at AVForum have an issue with the Apple TV 4K. When the Apple TV is outputting 4K 24hz 4:4:4 8bit there will be flickering in darker areas of movies. This happens when showing 4K SDR content and 1080p SDR content when the Apple TV is upscaling. To fix this issue you can disable the automatic frame rate matching and the Apple TV will output 4K 60hz 4:4:4 8bit instead. This however creates another issue with 24fps movies having 3:2 pulldown judder. Does anyone know if Apple has ever commented on this issue or is this completely hopeless to get fixed?
