Home sharing (PC iTunes) will not connect to Apple TV (3rd gen)

I all of a sudden can't use Home Sharing between my PC Win10 and Apple TV 3rd Generation. I did an update as per

Restore your Apple TV through iTunes - Apple Support

All devises Apple TV, PC and iTunes are running latest software updates. Have Restarted and Reset Apple TV several times and turned On and Off Home Sharing on PC.

Netflix, Prime Video, Youtube is all working fine on the Apple TV and no VPN networks are on.

All I get is Loading "(XYZ's) Library" and then User uploaded file Could not connect to "(XYZ's) Library"

The last update for the 3rd Gen was released in Dec 2016, as the model is discontinued there have been no more updates.


If on wifi try Apple TV on Ethernet

Check firewall and security software installed on your system

To see a current status of the network get a report from netstumbler or similar. Look for signal strength, noise, nearby networks

Test on another network
