My appointments dissapeared on my 8 calender...still good on ipad..best way to get them to sync?

All my appointments are gone from my iphone calender..birthdays/holidays are still there..been searching help responses but they don’t match my settings screens under icloud or calender.

If you are in the Calendar app and select Calendars at the bottom, is the calendar you are wanting still checked?
