New iPad unable to update apps

Hi,

I've just brought a new iPad (setup with a new Apple ID), and found that the Apple Store does not allow me to update apps via the App Store. I have set the payment option to None as I do not want a payment card on this device. I can install applications onto the device with no issue.

iPad is using the latest software and everything seems to be configured correctly. I've tried to logout of the Apple account, rebooted the device, but when I click update it shows the download wheel and immediately goes back to press update.

Any ideas?

Thanks

I found the issue. I opened the App Store icon and it came up with a prompt stating that an update was available. Told it to update and it downloaded OK.

How strange.
