I want to sort photos to see newest first. But it is set to oldest first. Sort option is greyed out. I will have to scroll allllllll the way down, and that *****. What to doo ?

Which application are you talking about?
Tell Apple what missing features you'd like restored or new features added in Photos via https://www.apple.com/feedback/photos.html. But I doubt they'll change the default sort in the Photos window. You'll need to create a smart album like this so all photos in the library are displayed automatically:

I jus dont see the value in having the default sorting locked to se oldest first in the photos. Or why it should not be changed anyways. So ill give it a shot, because this is why i bought and love apple in the first place, that it is created with intuitive intentions.

What version of iPhoto? Of the OS?
Yes i use Photos app.
You show the exact problem i have.
I need to see all my newest photos first without have to make folders or albums first.
As i want to share or use images from other apps (E.g. Pages) i would like to skip thousands of photos befor getting to the image just created or shot.
Maybe someone at apple get in the game and open up for the grayed out button in photos depicted here.

You must be using the Photos app, not iPhoto, correct?
