Automator merge file

Hi,

how to merge files folders in automator.app ?

I have this folders : seagate/takeout-20180730T143454Z-002/takeout/drive/

I want to merge all files/folders in the folder drive to folder seagate the root of my external hard drive.

I have many folder like this to merge.

The best I have now is get specified finder items then move finder item but it not merge files/folders.

Thanks 🙂 Have a good day!

From the Terminal.app

You can see more info of course from the man page:

man ditto | more

Thank you ! 🙂

Is there a way with ditto to move multiple folders to the same location in one command line?

like :

ditto '/Volumes/Seagate Backup plus/takeout-20180730T143454Z-001/takeout/drive/', '/Volumes/Seagate Backup plus/takeout-20180730T143454Z-002/takeout/drive/', '/Volumes/Seagate Backup plus/takeout-20180730T143454Z-003/takeout/drive/' '/Volumes/Seagate Backup plus'

Understand that ditto is a copy facility, and it does not move anything which would suggest a copy, followed by a delete. It can copy multiple folders to the destination in one command. This is acknowledged in the first sentence of the ditto man page.

From the Terminal command-line:

man -t ditto | open -f -a preview
