Error 8003 when copying Photos Library

I have followed all the steps in this guide but I still get an "error 8003" when copying the Photos Library to a external drive. The file is 300Gb and the drive is empty and 2TB. Any ideas?

This is not a external drive formatting issue or a trash issue.

Trash is empty

Drive is freshly formatted.

So after a few weeks of trying I fixed it myself. I thought I'd leave the answer here in case anyone else suffers.

Basically I had to turn Wifi off on my mac as I deduced that as my Photos Library was connected to iCloud it was constantly being updated as I took photos on my iPhone. So as the 300Gb file takes a few hours to copy I guess that iCloud was trying to update the library whilst i was copying it and this caused the error.

That's my best guess anyway.
