Full Charge Capacity is now 4202

Ive had my MBP C2D since mid november 06 and for the last two days it has been shutting off with 30% left.

Full Charge Capacity is now 4202 with 126 cycles Health shows as 76%. Is this out of spec.? i am going to do another calibration (charge, rest for 2 hours, drain rest for 5 hours then recharge) and see if it improves if it does not do you think i should get Apple to replace it.

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.4.8)

After letting it rest at 100% turned on, health is now at 92% and Full Charge Capacity is now 5088. so its got a lot better.... i will now use it until it sleeps and leave to drain and rest for at least 5 hours, might improve somemore.

Hopefull it wont turn off at a decent percentage now.. ill do a PRAM and PMU reset as well once it drained as well to be on the safeside.. Fingers Crossed.

This was my first Mac and im glad to say its the only issue ive had since owning it.

all the way down 1% battery charge without a sudden shutdown. 🙂 thats better. Ill let her rest now and drain completely for 8 hours and then recharge and do a PRAM and PMU reset see if the max capaicty and health gets better. I am not holding my breath, 92 % health and 5508 capacity at 126 cycles seems ok to me.? but you never know.

This aint on, after thinking it was ok, it is down to 3616 Full Charge Capacity and 65 % health with 127 cycles..

I have Calibrated it now the proper way and I have come to the conclusion that there must be something wrong with this battery. I am going to give Apple Care a call tomorrow and see what they have to say, i am looking to get the battery replaced.

Looks like mine is going the same way, though not as bad as yours.
The last couple times, it's shut down at about 20%, but since the 27 Jan, the maximum capacity has fallen from 6264 mAh to 4582 mAh today. Seems to drop about 200mAh every time I run it down
Mine is 9 months old has had 22 cycles.
Did you get anywhere with AppleCare?

Maybe a coincidence, but I found that my HD had an "Invalid node structure" so had to do a clean install.
Prior to that, I did reset the PMS with positive results. It showed the battery as having a higher max capacity, than before
I'll check the battery state when everything is updated and back to normal.
What are you using to check the battery state ? Currently I'm using ''mini battery logger" or "coconut"...........?

I use istatpro - coconut and ibatt to check all show the same thing. my HD is fine, nothing wrong there. I borrowed a battery of my cousin I converted them to the MBP and got them one from New-York at the same time I got mine, 0 Problems with their battery installed in my MBP. So it appears its the battery 100%

been kinda busy this weekend so I am gonna get on the phone tomorrow and see if they can send me one out, or maybe even take a trip down to the apple store if i can get the time.
