Hi there,
4 of my colleagues and I use Siri on our excessively, to make calls, and add calendar entries. we make approx. 50-200 Phonecalls each day, often on the road, using a headset, or a car-bluetooth connection. All our clients or Partners, have mobile numbers and land-lines. We call exclusively the mobile-numbers, and never ever anything else. We can be called from both land lines and mobile, so we have both numbers saved correctly in the exchange-account, so that we can see who is calling us.
Siri is supposed to be intelligent, but every **** time I call someone I either must tell her "call John on mobile" or answer the question "there are 2 numbers please tell me which one to call", which is massively annoying, especially in a somewhat stressful day. Sometimes we just forget the appendix "on mobile" and then we can listen to Siri beautiful 20sek long question, although it is perfectly clear and never changed.
On iOS 11, there was a workaround to add one of the often-called contacts' mobile number to the favorites, so Siri would not dare to ask this question, but I prefer a clean favorites-list, with only my actual favorite contacts, without 300 clients' numbers.
With iOS 12, Siri should be more intelligent (shortcuts, yay...), but someone may have guessed, that we use the phones mainly to make calls. The old issue is still here, but additional, sometimes Siri now asks also which phone number to call from already "Favorite-mobile" contacts! At least it adds an Star in front of the favorite-number. "Congratulations, you get a gold star". This is really annoying and got worse with iOS 12.
I would prefer a simple setting aka "Prefer Mobile Numbers always" or "Prefer Land-Numbers always", so that the interaction can be simple. Are we the only ones who are massively annoyed by this?
