barcode into Numbers

I have never used a bar code scanner on any computer. So I did search using my favorite search engine and the phrase "bar code scanner mac os x" and found a decent list.

Also search for "barcode to pc" in the app store for your iOS device

I have not been able to get barcode to pc to work between my iPhone and my mac book pro. It seems like it is close. I would explore this and other options.

I have seen some online utilities for taking images of barcodes to text, you could then copy/paste into numbers. I don't think there is anything made to import directly into numbers.
