Tap and hold down on the text until the Copy/More option bar pops up. Tap Copy. Launch the mail app. Start the email and paste the text in the message field of the email.
For something that was simple to do with iPhone6 this is ridiculous. I solved my problem by opening a new email and placing the cursor in the body of the email. Then Exit out of email but leave it with the empty body and go to Message and Copy it. Then go back to email and Paste the Message in the body of the email. Complete the To and Subject lines and send. In earlier iPhone, I could select an option to send an email. The new iPhone complicates what used to be simple. Not smart.
Right but you can send or forward messages to non-iMessage email addresses as well as long as MMS Messaging is enabled and as long as the carrier supports MMS/email exchange (all the major carriers do.) Just send or forward it to the email address and be sure to check the junk/spam folder if you don't find in the email inbox because the "from" address will be your de facto carrier MMS/email exchange address.
Copy the text from within the Messages and paste it into an email in the Mail app.
That is exactly what LACAllen and I suggested that you do.
