- You need at least an Apple TV with tvOS 11 or later. Connect and use your AirPods - Apple Support
- If you were connected to the same iCloud account on iPhone with AirPods and on Apple TV, then they’re already linked.
- If that doesn’t apply you can pair them manually:
- Put your AirPods in the case and open the lid.
- Press and hold the pairing button on the back of the case until you see the status light flash white.
- On the Apple TV, open the Settings app.
- Click on Remotes and Devices, then Bluetooth.
- Select your AirPods from the list.
- To use the AirPods, you can use the Remote to use AirPods with Apple TV. When you’re in the main menu, you can press-and-hold the play button on the remote. Your AirPods will connect, and you can starting listening to content quicker.
- To use the AirPods, they would also show up in the audio section of the information overlay when you swipe down during playback of any video.
