The easiest way is to use Time Machine, or a clone to revert to the previous state before installing HS.
If you can't do that then you'll need to erase and reinstall Sierra.
macOS Sierra: Erase and reinstall macOS
But before you do that, what problems are you having? There may be an easy fix.
Might add, when you erase, use HFS+ GUID. APFS does not work on Sierra. Nor will Sierra see drives formatted in APFS.
I don't have any specific problems. I am just in somewhat over my head and I have a new SSD arriving Tuesday and want to "downgrade" from High Sierra back to Sierra.
Thank you for your inquiry.
Good idea. SSDs are automatically formatted into APFS. Just be sure to backup your data before erasing.
You may want to get an external hard drive to make the backup.
