Can't delete things off of an external hard drive.

I have a Seagate Backup Plus Slim External Hard Drive that I've been using to store my files on, and for some reason today I was unable to delete things off of it from my new MacBook Pro. I've used it with this laptop before and it's worked previously but I am unable to delete files off of it now. Every time I try it makes a weird "sound" that indicates that it didn't work. Please let me know why this is or how I can fix it! Thanks 🙂

I'm assuming that you have already tried rebooting the computer? If you haven't, I would try this, and then try again. If you have rebooted, then I would try shutting down, and leaving the computer off for at least 10 seconds, and then turning it back on and let it do a full boot. See if that works for you.
