Jabber installation

I recently deleted my Yahoo Mail account from my MacBook Air and added a Gmail account. I noticed that Jabber is now installed on my internet accounts. How did this get installed and do I need it? Note: my yahoo acount was hacked and Apple ID was attempted to be hacked.

iPad Air 2 WiFi, Cellular, iOS 11.4.1
