iPad Unicode Tamil typing difficulty

It is not possible to type vivātattil. It automatically changes as vivātttil.When we type one 'uyir-mei-ezhuththu' and follow it with the same 'uyir-mei-ezhuththu' it automatically changes the first 'uyir-mei- ezhuththu' into 'mei-ezhuththu'.

This is causing difficulty because after typing a 'uyir-mei-ezhuththu' if we want to type the 'mei-ezhuththu' we have to leave a space after the 'uyir-mei-ezhuththu'. It causes the word to break into two parts.

What is the solution to rectify this?

Settings > General > Keyboard > Auto Correction > OFF, Check Spelling > OFF.

Go to settings > general > keyboard > keyboards > add new keyboard and go to Tamil and add the Transliteration Keyboard.

Instead of pushing the same key again, first push the key for "a" . That should give you tat instead of tt.

Thank you for your interest in helping me.

When I choose the language as Tamil, the keyboard turns with the Tamil script for each key. Therefore it is not necessary to type English alphabets and get transliterated text in Tamil. I can directly key-in the Tamil alphabets. As this forum is not allowing me to type in Tamil font, I am unable to describe my problem to someone who does not know Tamil language.

In your example, when I type in Tamil, it puts a dot above the 4th character as found in the fifth character, which is the problem. To place a dot above, it is necessary to push the character key first and then push another key to place the dot above. When I push the key for the 4th character, it shows correctly. But when I push the key again (to make another character with the dot) it automatically places a dot above the fourth character.

I think this has to be rectified at the coding of Tamil Unicode.

How can I use a transliteration keyboard for my iPad?
