Will it damage nylon watchbands to swim in chlorinated pools?
Apple Watch
Apple says they are not water resistant (right... woven nylon leaks) but it is unlikely to cause a problem and many users have done it without disasters. Remember to rinse the watch thoroughly in fresh water after your swim, and flush all the chlorine away particularly around the band mountings onto the case.

Thank you for the quick and thorough response. I do water aerobics 3-4 times a week. I am considering the Apple Watch Series 4, I think to be announced tomorrow, but having a hard time deciding between an all out Apple Smartwatch vs. the new Fitbit Charge 3 just coming out as well. I won’t something to wear almost 24x7, but I’m concerned about the size of the Apple Watch.
If the rumored Watch 4 is a contender in your selections I suggest you review again after the new range of accessories is published. Everything could change tomorrow and my comments about accessories for earlier series could be irrelevant.
Thanks! I was asking the question based on rumors that the bands would remain interchangeable, but I will definitely research thoroughly after the 4 comes out, along with it’s accessories.
I think they will remain compatible provided the basic case sizes stay at 38/42mm but the range and styles will probably change.
Thanks again for your thoroughness...wish me luck picking the right wearable technology for my lifestyle!
