Table1::A1 Function

Good afternoon everyone,

I have schedule for Student and Teachers.

On Sheet 1 I have employee names in column A1

On Sheet 2 I want those same names duplicated in column A1 as well

Ive been using (Table 1::A1) function and it works great but......

If there is a blank cell on sheet one it puts a 0 on sheet 2.

Is there a way to get ride of the 0 on sheet 2

Any help would be greatly appreciated! I hope I explained this well enough.

Example: This happens the it is copying a blank cell from Sheet 1.

Your current formula is this?

=Table 1::H4

Then you could do something like this:

=IF(LEN(Table 1::H4)>0,Table 1::H4,"")

That will display as a blank if the source cell in Table 1 is blank.

Substitute ; for , in the formula if your regions uses , as a decimal separator.

I haven't tested Google Sheets but the behavior in Excel is the same as in Numbers. If the source cell is blank you get a 0.

Another thing you could do is just create a Custom Format that hides the 0s.

Thank you so much!! This worked great!

To bad it has to be such a long code compared to just (Table 1::) function.

Wonder why Numbers does that. Google Sheets and Excel doesn't do that. Oh well.
