Facebook not working well in Safari 8.0

I am suddenly having trouble with Facebook in safari. The site loads but when I click on the box to make a comment, it changes the text to somewhat vertical (see screenshot) and doesn't allow the textbox to accept any content. I have deleted all the site content (cookies etc) and restarted my computer. I have also tried commenting both in groups and in my general newsfeed. The same behavior happens on both.

Also I do not have any extensions.
