How to make google my default browser (safari and crome) immutable?

Hi guys,

Even though I have set google search as my default first page - many times (safari and chrome) - every time I log on my computer the yahoo search is back.😠

I already tried this steps below, but they work only temporary. Does anybody know how to fix this?

Click the Tools icon at the far right of the browser window.
Select Internet options.
In the General tab, find the Search section and click Settings.
Select Google.
Click Set as default and click Close.

Assuming you're setting the browser home page in addition to setting the browser default search engine (the latter is what that sequence does, it doesn't set the browser home page), then something that has been intentionally or unintentionally installed—some add-on security tool, browser extension, adware, login-related setting, something—and is clearly reverting the selection.

Download and run and cut and paste and post the output report from Etrecheck here, and somebody will have a look.
