Family Calendar not showing

Question

Set up for Family Sharing in iCloud. Every aspect of it works correctly except there is no "Family" calendar to share.

All articles regarding this feature say it will "just be there".

It is not.

Now what?

Open the Calendars app, tap Calendars at the bottom. If you don't see the option there check the options under Settings > Apple ID > iCloud.

Update:

Although I may never know what caused the problem, I was finally able to solve it by turning off family sharing and then starting it back up again.

Something of a mystery, but at least it is solved.

I hope this will be helpful to someone else having similar issues.
