Noticed there's nothing about the ECG working in the UK (section not on the .co.uk website). Is that something that may be rectified by the appropriate bodies in the coming months and updated with a software fix or is the necessary tech missing from the watch?

I've checked with Apple via the magic of Chat and they've confirmed that for the watch to be approved in the UK no hardware changes are required. It'll be activated in the same way the US version will be.

I understood that the ECG facility would be introduced in 2019.
The Apple Watch 4 has approval for this functionality in the USA but not currently in Europe.
