I would like to reinstall an OSX on my 2008 Imac? I erase the hard drive and when I go to the "install OSX", I am asked to contact APPLE CARE. Thank you for your help

What OS version was installed on the drive at the time you erased it?

To restore the original OS and included iWorks apps you need the grey system/restore disks that shipped with the computer. That model is too old to use internet restoration.

If you only need to install the OS and not the iWorks apps, you can use a full retail install disk. I would recommend startng over with Snow Leopard 10.6 which Apple still sells online:

Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard - Apple
