brittier826 you responded to me but I typed the directions on how to solve this on Chrome. No need to contact Google. The directions are above. You can see how it worked for many people already and they were appreciative.

No if you follow the post it will correct the situation... Most case malware like this changes the os not the actual program The users is this forum are generally very good at helping with mac OS

Thank you so much for typing out the steps and commands. I spent the whole day clearing the we-know and it was still messing up the Chrome. I tried MalwareByte and CC something and I agree with the above that installing more stuff is adding to the confusion, and want money to fix the problem -I wouldn't know what they are doing with my Mac either. So relieved.
