Group editing drums

Please note, when group editing drums and selecting Q tracks and flexing and all that good stuff. You should trim your regions close or right on the downbeat of your Q track (typically the kick). If you don't do this Logic will constantly align the regions off the grid down beat and it will move your tracks around! Avoid the pain, trim the regions.

Logic isn’t cutting regions where I apply the scissor tool After attempting to edit some drums today I noticed that logic’s cutting and dragging tools were messing up. I had all my drum tracks in a logic group and I had the ‘editing’ box ticked meaning if edit one track it would do the same edit to all the tracks in that group. When I used the scissor tool to cut a track it wouldn’t cut the track in the place I applied the scissors to and all the tracks in the group would cut at different places. You can see this in the photo I’ve attached, When I tried to drag the regions into alignment they would snap to random places. This is truly making me question my future use of logic. If they can’t even get the cutting and dragging down I’m not sure there’s much hope.

How do I remove a section of takes without flattening I have a set of grouped drum tracks with multiple takes. I decided I want a drum break - so I don’t want any of the takes to play - I want silence. But I don’t want to flatten the track yet. Does anyone know how I remove an entire section of drums from multiple takes in a group? Comping in Cubase is so much easier but my client is using logic...

Why are newly recoded regions expanding outward Here's what's happening. Every time I record an 8 or 16 bar region or start a new drummer track, the entire regions just shoot out as though I'm dragging them across the screen. Regions repeating itself.. I don't know how it happened as I may have mistakenly used a wrong command somewhere in the project. Please Help, Thanks, Barry
