what is compositions folder in FCP X 10.3 motion templates?

I just uploaded new Motion Template into FCPX.

I see a new category, that I have not seen before "Compositions" I don't see in my FCPX 10.3

Is that a new category that belongs to FCPX10.4?

Thanks,

iMac, macOS Sierra (10.12.5), 27"

Compositions are "Published Templates" but not published as a Final Cut Generator. They will not show up in Final Cut for use. If you have external attached drives, it makes little sense to publish Motion "projects". It's easier and better for your internal drive if you simply Save or Save As a regular Motion Project to an external location. All other types (Effects, Generators, Titles and Transitions) are automatically published to Final Cut (in your /User Motion Templates folder).

You can use Drop Zones in Motion just like you would in FCPX. However, what I like to do is dedicate a Group for specific graphics that I can just drop into it. You can stack as many as you like - only the top media shows. You can use the checkmarks to the left to turn layers on and off... etc. Motion is exceptionally versatile (and there is no one right way to do things 😉 ).
