Music Creation takes up 12.25 GB?

I recently deleted the Garageband app as well as the loops from my laptop. I've deleted the audio unit cache and restarted my laptop many times (13 inch Macbook Pro 2017 ver. High Sierra 10.13.4) but in the About This Mac > Storage, it says that I still have 12.25 gb of music creation files on my laptop.

I've checked every website I could find, but I haven't found a solution yet. My macbook is around 2-3 weeks old and it has a 251 gb flash storage.

Dis you also delete the instrument library and the Learn to Play lessons?

GarageBand is storing the sound files for the virtual instruments and the lessons in the folder

/Library/Application Support/GarageBand/

This folder can be quite large. On my macs the Music creation is using 73GB for the loops, sounds, lessons.

Hello rawsabsaid,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities! I understand that you are currently seeing storage on your MacBook Pro unexpected used by Music Creation. You've come to the right place for help.

Let's start by confirming if System Information gives us additional insight as to what the Music Creation files may be:

How to free up storage space on your Mac - Apple Support

From About This Mac > Storage, click Manage, then select Music Creation in the panel on the left. This should display any additional content that is contributing to your Music Creation storage, and also provide an option to remove that content. If there is nothing listed under Music Creation, restart your MacBook Pro then check if the reported storage changes. Let us know what happens from here.

Cheers!
