Is the glass back on the silver iPhone xs max white?
In all of the photos of the silver xs max it appears white. is it just difficult to capture silver in the photos?

The glass is clear. It's clear glass on top of a very light silver case. It just appears white in the photos. The silver is a very bright silver and it really does appear more white. Since iPhone X will likely be identical in finish, here is a photo of the back against a white background:
