Since my friend and I updated to watchOS 5 we can’t seem to connect with walkie talkie. When one of us sends an invite it says invite sent but the other does not receive any invite. This happens for everyone, everyone can send invites but no one receives any. Anyone have a solution?
So I got it to work from some serious trial and error. Even though I could FaceTime audio and video my friends, we weren’t logged in to FaceTime on our phones with our iCloud emails. Once we all did that and sent new invites it worked perfectly. Hope this helps people.
iPhone>settings>FaceTime
Then make sure you are logged in with iCloud.
Same issue with mine since both my wife and me upgrade to Watch v5 we both have v3 apple watch

Thanks for the suggestion. My contacts were showing but I tried this anyways. (I also reset sync data from the watch app). Didn’t fix my issue but it was worth a try. Thanks!
Hi,
When you mention to log in with an iCloud email, do you mean your xxxx@icloud.com email or just the one you have registered for you AppleID? Ex. I use a gmail account to log in to all my apple accounts.

I logged in with my iCloud variation but it then showed all my linked emails. Pretty sure you could log in with your gmail if that’s what you use for your Apple ID.

I had tried that (unsuccessfully) before I got it working (see the solution I posted above). This may work for others though. Thanks for the tip.
Tried several attempts to unpair but to my avail the same issue keeps showing up inviting and that’s it. What other way is there to correct this issues?
I find the app frustrating. It only works sometimes. Friends who I used to be able to walkie talkie with I can’t. And we can’t seem to reconnect. I can with my wife but my other friends can’t. Annyou

I had the same problem. And it baffled me because it worked and then it didn’t work. What I did was, I reset my network settings, I went back into my contacts and made sure that the person that I was trying to add was in my contacts and their phone was labeled “iPhone “not just “phone”. Because the software doesn’t recognize the label phone as an iPhone, so I think this is where my problem was at. Once I did this it worked
