Hi would like to understand the differences between apple watch 4 and apple watch 4 Nike edition besides the design and the app.
For instance, It has the same functionality if I buy a normal edition and download Nike app?

Basically it means you have a few more exclusive face options related to the Nike+ App than on the non Nike watch, a shortcut to launch the App quicker, and extra run based information directly on the watch faces.
The App itself works the same, and has the same features.

To add to this question; I just want to be sure I can get rid of the Nike face any time I want and use my old face.

Yes. Watch Faces can be changed normally. Though the non Nike faces may not have the complication options to tie in to the App.
