It has apparently been removed.
I just found out too that it has been removed and was also the primary use on my watch for work! I fly for a living and was so handy in working out time differences for all the paperwork and so quickly, so so disappointed! I will fill out the feedback from too!
As others have noted, this has unfortunately been removed in WatchOS 5. I already packed my Series4 back up to return - with this missing, my Series 0 is more useful to me.
The more people that request the return of that feature the better. use that link.
Really? It was one of the best features of the watch. So the watch will no longer easily remind me of meetings coming up but it will still remind me on how to breathe??? Hopefully Apple will fix this but I won't hold my breath.
I’m a pilot as well! I just purchased the gen 3 watch from my original gen 1 Apple Watch.
I upgraded the firmware to 5 and almost died when I found out time travel had been taken away. It was the only feature I bought the watch for. Easy to read TAF’s and time zones. I hope they put the feature back.
This was essentially the only thing i used my apple watch for. Since the Cellular is patchy at best, I can't ever leave without my phone and still be reachable so that selling point is a dud. I was left with three uses for my watch. 1) Set a timer when i'm grilling. 2) control my music from my watch when grilling. 3) easily scroll through the day with time travel to see events and weather over time (only feature i used daily). The third is the only thing i couldn't already do with my phone. Purchased the first iphone in the first 5 minutes and have been in the apple ecosystem ever since, but with the loss of distinct useful features and the slow creep into the absurdly unaffordable i think i'm finally close to switching platforms to android. I think i'll end up selling the watch and just using my alexa.
I am aware of the calendar function but you are adding at least one step to what was able to do quickly before. It is especially frustrating they removed the function without replacing it with anything else - turning the crown now does nothing - no reason to remove the functionality.
Apple does what Apple does. We have no control over that.
I agree that this is very frustrating. I used this to "peek ahead" in my calendar complication — where am I going, to which meeting. I also just liked spinning it with the analog faces. I'll miss it.
