I updated my iPhone 6s but I do not have the Memoji or Animoji feature like it discusses in its update for these phones. This needs to be fixed :/

So I updated my phone to the iOS 12 update and after reading and getting hyped about the new Animoji and Memoji feature its supposed to have for all the devices I realized mine did not update to that and there was no Animoji or Memoji and I’m upset about it. Is there something I’m missing? A setting I didn’t see? Please help!

No. The limiting factor is the cameras. The iPhone X and later have the face capture / tru depth cameras. Other models do not have this, and as such the face tracking mechanism for the the animoji and memoji do not exist on other models including the iPhone 8 and 8 plus.
