**FIXED**
I am an IT guy. I have set up Screen Time for a number of families. This “issue” has happened multiple times. I found the solution this morning.
Family with two child accounts. One reporting screen time correctly, one not at all. On the one not reporting correctly.....other screen time features worked, like restrictions and downtime, but the TIME reporting didn’t work. It said “when your child uses the device, time will be reported here”......but it never did.
Both Apple ID’s were identical is all senses.
The fix.
1) Turn off screen time for that child. Completely. Disable it all together.
2) remove child from family sharing. If over 13 years old. If under 13.....change DOB tonover 13....then remove.
3) add back into family sharing. Change DOB back if necessary.
4) set up screen time once again.
Once i did this.....all time reporting started working correctly immediately.
Good luck.

I understand you are trying to configure the new Screen Time feature for one of your kids. The resources below explain how to set this up. Do you have Family Sharing set up? If not, you should be able to set this up directly on your child's device.
To use Screen Time with Family Sharing, you need to be the family organizer or parent/guardian in your family group, on iOS 12. Your child must be under age 18, in your family group with their own Apple ID, and on iOS 12.

Use parental controls on your child's iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
Set Content & Privacy Restrictions
- Go to Settings and tap Screen Time.
- Tap Continue, then choose "This is My iPhone" or "This is My Child's iPhone."
- If you're the parent or guardian of your device and want to prevent another family member from changing your settings, tap Use Screen Time Passcode to create a passcode. Then re-enter the passcode to confirm.
- If you're setting up Screen Time on your child's device, follow the prompts until you get to Parent Passcode and enter a passcode. Re-enter the passcode to confirm.
- Tap Content & Privacy Restrictions. If asked, enter your passcode, then turn on Content & Privacy.
Make sure to choose a passcode that's different from the passcode you use to unlock your device. If you forget your Screen Time passcode, you need to erase your device, then set it up as a new device to remove the Screen Time passcode. Restoring your device from a backup won't remove your Screen Time passcode.

Fixed. Same issue, but I’m the organizer and it works fine. It’s another parent that’s not seeing child device info for one child. Other parent is not on matching iOS 12.1 as the rest of us. Updated from 12.0.1 to have all devices on iOS 12.1. Seems to work fine now.
I have an odd update. We have two adults/managers/approvers in our family, and two kids. My wife could see one child, and I could see the other, she went in and started making updates to my son's screen time settings, and when she saved them I could see them. I went in and made updates to my daughter's, and now she can see her phone.
So, as of today, I can see both kids and so can my wife. What I *hate* is that each kid has a different pin to manage their screen time settings. My wife set one when she first "managed" my son, and I set one when I first updated my daughter, and we have to use those respective pins to edit the respective child. I do think each parent should be able to use the same pin that they can easily remember to manage all children.
Very strange, I guess if you're a single-parent home, maybe try adding another adult briefly? :-)
You will need to add them to family sharing. Then log into icloud where it shows they are part of family sharing and then click manage apple id. Once you do that hit edit under their personal info and then update dob. It should then tell you that it is sending a verification to your icloud to update.
This issue is now fixed for me. Since updating all devices to the latest iOS and doing an iCloud synch across each device I can now see the child whose birthday I updated and control his screen time.
Yes,
We lost all screen time history too when turning off screen time....it warns you that all history and settings will bre wiped. But it was worth it to get it working. Now I have fingers crossed that it stays working. A few people reported that it started working again for them....then stopped again.. Ugg.

I am a tech guy. I have set up screen time for roughly two dozen familiesninnlast three weeks. Three families are having this issue. I “THINK” the common factor is that the Apple ID were originally set up as adult accounts with wrong birthdays (pre-family sharing days) and once screen time came out the parents had to change the DOB of the child’s Apple ID, this moving the account from an adult account to a child account.....now screen time doesn’t work correctly.
Or....
It’s an ios12.1 issue, since it worked on some people
Prior to the ios12.1 update
Or
The kid is using a VPN program. That effects the data reporting.
Any thoughts from others on these theory’s?
Same. The child I can’t see is the one whose account was originally set up as an adult and whose birthday I later changed. The child who was set up originally as a child account has no issue. As a temporary fix i enabled limits directly on his iPad with a passcode.
Not yet.
ios12.0.1 is available.
Ive gotten mine set up but the usage for three out of four kids is not showing from my device when I try to view it. The restrictions are there and working but how can I fix it so I can see what they are spending their time on without having to look at their phones to do so? Is it just a glitch or is there a fix out there?
I am having the same issue. I have screentime set up on my kid’s phone and iPods. All of the restrictions are working but it is only showing me 1 child’s usage info. The other 2 it just says when they use it their info will appear there. When I check screentime on their devices, it shows me the usage info. How do I get it to show up on my device in screentime?
Same here. I was able to monitor both youngsters prior to the upgrade to 12.0.1. Now neither are showing up on my screen although the screen time use is visible on their individual devices. I’ve gone theough hours of ‘troubleshoots’ to no avail. Is there a fix, Apple?
Like everyone here I have the same issue. I have had to run a 3rd party app in parallel to keep tabs on our 3 kids because 2 of them have issues. However your comment of apple ID "birthday changes" is exactly what I did. Before family sharing I set them all up as adults so they could share my apps and music. When we went to family sharing I had to reset them all to their true birthdates. I also used this to get around needing an apple address as an Apple ID. So anyway I think of my 3 kids at least 2 of them have this situation. As for my Screen Time issues they are as follows. My youngest that has one device well his works perfectly. The other two have multiple devices (one has iPhone iPad iPod and the other has iPad iPod). Neither of them sum the "all devices" properly... it shows one or the other but not both. And since limits should go against the sum of devices then Screen Time doesn't work for kid management (hence the 3rd party app). And also lately the usage of one of them has disappeared completely even though she doesn't know the Screen Time password. So I was blaming multiple devices as the issue. Maybe its the birthday thing.
Me too! Any solution?
