Do Apple stores fix Ipods or do I have to mail it to Apple? I don't have a warranty and my ipod is kinda old. I'm kind of apprehensive to mail my Ipod somewhere. Do they give you a estmate or do they do the work and charge you?
Thanks.

No, they wouldn't fix it at an Apple store. You could send it in but out of warranty service from Apple is very very expensive. Quite frankly it would be more cost effective to buy a new iPod.

You could try a 3rd party site such as iPodResQ.com
