Voice memos is not saved after i done recording

I can see the voice in search, yet when i click it i cant find it in the app after the redirect to the app.

dis you solve this issue in any way !?

I had recorded an almost 2 hours presentation and the voice memo recording is corrupted and can’t be played!!!!! Apple! What’s going on??????????

Can you please give specific instructions on how you signed out of icloud? the only thing i could find required that i sign my entire phone out. i think this could help a lot of us. thanks

Is there any solution to this problem? I lost an important voice memo of one hour... I really am desperate.

I had this issue a while ago. I made a voice recording of an important meeting updated the name and clicked done. The meeting memo was disappeared completely. I verified the voice memo list and it doesn't have the mentioned memo but after a while that specific voice memo reappeared. Please recheck the voice memos list again after sometime.

The issue is the same as everyone else here: a lost voice memo (recorded, but not appearing in the Voice Memos app after having clicked on Pause and Done).

Have you tried to spotlight search it like others have done? If you did not rename it, just search “ recording “ and anything recorded should show. ( like recording 1, recording 2, etc)

When you find it, use iCloud , notes, or message it to yourself, or airdrop to your computer if it’s a Mac.

it used to be the length stopped around 30 minutes but I believe it can record for an hour or so, I’m not certain.

The problem is that it does not work for the Search option. Even though the voice memo appears there, the only thing it can make is take you to the Voice Memos app, in which the lost voice memo does not appear.

I agree. I know mine is gone, since I never got (or perhaps recognized) the option to save and erasing it inadvertently was made so easy to do (thanks, Apple). Same story for others I know. I downloaded one of the apps recommended by another person posting. I think it's just called "Voice Recorder." Unless you pay, it has ads at the bottom, but that's fine with me. I've only done testing--no "real life" recordings yet; but the tests seem good. Obviously, the iphone Voice Memos cannot be trusted with another recording. I just hope the existing ones don't disappear.

I also had this issue. It happened to a long and important recording (ugh) so maybe it is a glitch where voice memo don't tell the phone to stay awake. Then the phone shut down after no screen touch for awhile. Just a theory. Is there any way to recover files?

Just add, I can't believe how bad this application is after years of being out there. In addition to this problem of recordings not saving. I have just lost lots of precious recordings which have not saved across when i synod a new phone. Really bad UX.

Has anyone come up with a solution for this problem? Or maybe apple can just make a proper update so we dont experience such an annoying issue again in the future. I have lost a very, very important voice memo just after I was done recording it today. I have been trying to retrieve it for 4 straight hours and none of the recommendations in internet have worked. The only reason I have signed up here is this issue. I really need to know whether I can recover a voice memo, that was somehow not saved, at the moment I touched the save button, and has been lost since then. Later I went on using the app and recorded some other voice memos, so the file is maybe overwritten by now (?). Yet, I really want to know, if there is a solution, so that I will stop trying the 3rd Party macos apps to retrieve the memos, which by the way so far couldnt help.

Your file might be in a sub folder under /timestamp.composition/fragments, check the timestamps. If the file shows up in the search result of your phone, it should be in there.
