iOS12 Timer Bug (with connected Apple Watch)

iOS12 has broken the timer!

In both the lock screen and running standalone, the timer is no longer usable with the Apple Watch (Series 3).

#1 In the lock screen, I press the home button, scroll up from bottom (without unlocking phone), click the timer icon, select a time period and push "Start". When the timer counts down to zero, the alarm starts to play (and the screen on my watch goes to the timer done with the stop and repeat buttons at the bottom) but stops after less than 1 second and everything shuts down (no more alarm, no screen to stop or repeat). Then I have to push the phone start button and scroll up from bottom and click the timer icon all over again.

This is SUPPOSED to work like the above EXCEPT when the timer reaches zero, the alarm should sound on both the phone and the watch until I either push Stop or Repeat on either the phone or the watch.

BROKEN!

#2 If I run the timer NOT in the lock screen (press home, unlock phone, scroll up from bottom, click timer icon, etc), then the timer works better, but the watch is left out of the loop (i.e., when the timer reaches zero, the phone alarm goes off until I click it but there is no alarm on the watch, nothing).

BROKEN!

#3 If I run the timer from the app (ie, NOT from scrolling up from the bottom of the screen, but finding the clock app and starting it from the icon and then etc), it has the same symptoms as #2.

BROKEN!

Anyone know how I can get this to Apple and not just on this community forum?

Thanks,

Owen

Nope, that wasn't it. Updated my Apple watch to the latest version and the problem still happens.

NOTE: This is ONLY when using the timer from the lock screen. When using the timer from the clock app, there seems to be no integration with the watch any longer. Not a big deal there (could be seen as a feature - I do like how you can now turn off the alarm without resetting it).

At any rate, the watch integration with the timer from the lock screen is broken for me after this latest update iOS 12, Watch OS 5.0.

Thanks,

Owen
