The monkey does not show up in my messages for the Memoji what do I do?

You need an iphone X or newer to use it.

Wow, that stinks. Wish when they announced software roll out's they specified that the functionality was limited to versions. THAT would have been helpful. Now I'm wondering what else I can't get.
