OS X replacement for Microsoft's SyncToy

Microsoft released SyncToy for download last year and I began to rely on it for basic syncing between my flash drive and my PC. (If you don't know what SyncToy is, go to http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/digitalphotography/prophoto/synctoy.msp x.)

A few weeks ago, I bought my first Mac, and I have been looking for a replacement for this program since. Anybody know of any good file sync utilities? Freeware is better. Thanks!

Well, thanks for the help everyone. I just settled on ChronoSync because I like its ease of use and ability for multiple pairs. And for now, it really doesn't matter to me that I can only sync once per session. I'm mostly syncing MS Word documents anyways. Thanks again for your help though.

I've discovered ChronoSync ( http://www.econtechnologies.com/site/Pages/ChronoSync/chrono_overview.html), but I would prefer freeware. Its just for syncing one of my documents folders with my flash drive. Please help!

iSync is not for syncing with flash drives. It is used for syncing contacts/calendars with phones/PDAs. Believe me, I've done my research. I'm just looking for some simple freeware file syncing utility.

Go to MacUpdate and search for "sync." There's quite a lot there. I've heard people suggest Psync, Rsync, carbon copy cloner. I've tried SyncUpX for backup and liked its features. It will sync between folders and usb sticks.

Even on Windows I'd use a combination of rsync and cron (in a Linux vm to backup photos).

Put something like this in your crontab:

$ crontab -e
$ * * * * * rsync -a from/folder to/folder 2>&1 /dev/null

You're not limited to local folders either, you can specify remote locations that are running ssh or rsyncd.

Anybody out there??? I'm sure I'm not the only person looking for freeware sync utilites. They were all over the place on the PC side...where are they for the Mac????
