Why am I receiving duplicate mail

I am receiving multiple copies of emails sent.

I have deleted old accounts and created new one

This did not help

I have tried to resolve my email duplicate problem by re-installing my Sierra OS.

This did not help

I have deleted my cookies

This did not help

Can someone who has felt with this solve this for a simple like me to resolve

Try rebuilding the mailbox.


Rebuild mailbox


If that doesn't work, try re-indexing the mailboxes. This can take awhile if you have a lot of mail.


Reindex messages For El Capitan, try looking in V3. Sierra use V4. High Sierra use V5.

Hello Eric

I have done what you suggested and it worked.

I still get a message notification but the message does not get though.

This took all of five minutes and it is better than being email dumped.
