After download and installed iOS 12, camera stop working, even in all app which has access to the camera.
I do restart the phone many time, but no luck
It is a problem here also. I am looking for someone with a solution rather than driving 60 miles to town. Anyone out there that is familiar with iOS 12 problems? Camera stopped functioning upon implementation of iOS 12.
I am experiencing the same problem. Yesterday my cameras, both front and back, were working just fine. I updated my IOS to 12 and now all I see is black screen on both. It’s definitely not a hardware issue. Still waiting on Apple to fix the isssue with the software.

Make an appointment with your local Apple Store to have it examined.
It's been seen on virtually no other iPhones.
Regardless, if you are experiencing this issue, having an Apple Store diagnosis is the easiest way for Apple to determine if it is indeed a software issue and how to resolve it, as it's apparently limited to a very small minority of phones.
I know it's frustrating, but it's your best option.
I am experiencing the same problem on my iPhone 8. Yesterday my front and back were working. Now only my front camera is working. I updated my IOS to 12, and now all I see is a black screen on the back camera. It’s not a hardware issue. Apple needs to fix the problem with the software.
Same problem here. It doesn’t seem to be a hardware related issue. If I use a different app to take the photo the camera works fine (i.e. WhatsApp or Facebook but for some reason it is not the case for Instagram)
My iPhone X front and main cameras quit working out of the blue a few days ago. This also deactivated my Face ID. Now I cannot set up Face ID, cameras don’t work, and flashlight doesn’t work. I have rebooted and force rebooted with no luck.

Happening to my iPhone X since 12.1. Apple camera app doesn’t work with the main camera, but other photo apps work fine. Great QA, Apple!
