New iOS 12 Stock app seem to be a step backwards
Tried the new iOS 12 Stock app for 2 days, but had to back out to iOS 11.4.1.
The new Stock app seems much less user-friendly. the prices and change are stacked one below theater, and the new numbers are much smaller and harder to see. I am used to looking at the price changes, but they are therefore mixed with the current price, so hard to scan. Yes, they do have the tiny new lightning graphs, but those really give little info, since there is no timeline shown.
The stock graph can't be turned to landscape mode to use the two-finger change-of-price feature. The portrait view graph is so small that two fingers can hardly be used, since they run into each other.
There is no swiping of the graphs to move from one to the other, either. Used to be, with the graph in landscape mode, I could see all my stocks one at a time by swiping. Now, I have to go the the stock list, pick the next stock down to look at the graph. Over and over.
I liked the news feed the prior app had, rather than the Apple News feed. For example, Tilray had no news available at all in the new app.
So, overall, I find this new stock app a step in the wrong direction from the usability standpoint. I vote to have the old one back, as long as they fix the bug in the landscape view where it gets out of sync with its time connection.
