How to recover recently deleted photos folder

I recently upgraded to iOS 12 and when checking my Photos I noticed that the folder for recently deleted photos is completely missing. I have an iPhone 6, and was wondering how to recover this folder?

Hi tricia0320, you need to scroll past all the album squares. There you will find several lists. The first is Media Types followed by Other Albums. The last entry under Other Albums is where you will find your Recently Deleted photos .

Scroll all the way down. The Imports, Hidden, and Recently Deleted albums have been moved down to the last category of album, "Other Albums", at the bottom after "Media Types".

Thank you so much, I found it!

I called Apple support and they had no idea! They wanted me to delete all my content and reset to factory defaults. Thank goodness I didn’t do that. I really appreciate your assistance!!

I don't have a category of Albums marked "Other Albums" or "Media Types." I just did my update last night. When I looked up how to find them, most step-by-steps had a screen with a lift. Mine are just in album squares, no list.
