Just picked up my apple watch today and was excited to try the ECG app. It is nowhere to be found. The launch presentation sure promoted that feature. So where is the app? That feature is one of the key ones of why I bought the watch.

Nor should you. In all likelihood, the next piece of news from Apple will be the announcement of the release.

We're all just users like you. You will find out about the same time we do.
Frustrating, sure, but I doubt Apple would have announced it if the ECG app weren't a darned-near certainty. They made it a focal point of the keynote which tells me release is very near.
I kind of remember the same thing with the illusive wireless charger they touted a year earlier. Never happened.
Well, I agree that an AirPad is very unlikely, but I'll take that bet vis a vis the ECG app. What are the stakes? :)
I did the same but I really have never been let down by Apple over the last 10 years. They always have come through with what they say they are going to do
What is the exact date the ECG will be released. Lets go with that question first. Today's date is 12/4/18. The "end of the year" is in a few weeks......
Possibly the release date is stored in the same vault as the Coka Cola formula.
