I need know I have a iPhone X it

Storage is a 256 gigabytes and what does 3 gigabytes of 5 gigabytes Mean it is showing that I i am all most full and I supposed to have 253 left why is back ups using all my gigabytes is there away I can reverse and to collect my gigabytes, And the blue stands back ups and the bar is almost full run low on Storage

If you want to look at the storage of your actual device open settings > general > iPhone storage
