i just updated my IPhoneX to IOS 12 and now I am unable to close my apps. I can slid the screen up from bottom to bring up open apps, but when it hold finger on an app to activate the red minus dot nothing happens the dot never appears. I am currently unable to close any apps only swipe them up to get to home screen. I went through tips to see if there was something new about this in the update but did not find anything. Help please!

I don't own an IPX, but a friend of mine has one, and this "gesture" (closing apps) doesn't need you to press on the preview on iOS12 (the red circle doesn't appear anylonger).
Simply swipe up on the app's preview to close that app.

Thank you that did close the apps I like it better but Apple should have noted the change
