Unsync all phone sharing photos

My kids and I share one Apple ID account and my kids received the same photos. My daughter deleted tons of photos and emptied the trash, but they were all automatically wiped from my sons photos as well. He is furious because he wanted those photos. Does anyone know if there is anything we can do to get those photos back, and how to stop having all of info synced? Please help...
