How to activate touch id in new iphone 7?

Hi there,
On the original set-up it’s optional to add Touch ID. You may have accidentally skipped this process but it can easily be setup by accessing Settings > Touch ID & Passcode and turning Touch ID on.

No it didn’t work.
Which part exactly didn’t work? Are you receiving an error message?

When you set iPhone up it will ask you for a 6 digit passcode then go to Touch I'd & passcode flower the settings.
