Thank you for your quick reply. I was following your steps when I remembered that I still have a couple of outdated extensions - js blocker 5 and uBlock origin. I turned those off and Find iPhone is back to normal. Now I have to find new apps to replace them!

Further information: in Firefox, on the same computer, the map looks normal.
Try setting up another admin user account to see if the same problem continues. Please post back on whether or not this worked. Also try the Safe Mode. Please post back on whether or not this worked.
