How do I disable Do Not Disturb at Bedtime?

I have bedtime set up on my iphone x, but since ios12 released, it’s been disabling all of my notifications at my scheduled bedtime. I understand that that’s what it’s meant to do, but I can’t turn it off.

I have gone to settings>do not disturb>bedtime (off), but every night I pick up my phone after my scheduled bedtime & I’ve missed texts & notifications because Do Not Disturb is active, even though it’s still switched off in settings.

Hello alaskamybaby,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities! I understand that you have turned off Do Not Disturb for Bedtime, however you are not receiving notifications at night. You've come to the right place for help.

Since you've already turned Bedtime off from Settings > Do Not Disturb, let's also confirm that it is not enabled in the Clock app under the Bedtime tab. When you tap Options at the upper-left, you should see additional Bedtime Options.

After that, I would like to have you confirm if any of your notifications are set to Deliver Quietly which could also explain the behavior:

Manage notifications

To manage your notifications from the Lock screen or Notification Center:

  1. Swipe left over an alert or group of alerts.
  2. Tap Manage, then select from these options:
    • Deliver Quietly: These notifications appear in the Notification Center, but don't show up on the Lock screen, play sounds, or show a banner or badge icon.
    • Turn Off: This turns off all notifications for a specific app. To turn this back on, go to Settings > Notifications, select the app, and tap Allow Notifications.

You can also tap Settings to change your alert styles or alert settings for a specific app.

Let us know what happens from here.

Cheers!
